Man with dementia in critical but stable condition after being hit by vehicle on Military Road

TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. (WIVB)–An 85-year-old Niagara Falls man is at ECMC in critical but stable condition after being hit by a vehicle in the area of Military and Recovery Road.

Town of Niagara Police say the man, who has dementia, arrived with his son at a nearby business, exited his son’s vehicle, and walked into the street.

He then was struck by a 23-year-old Lewiston woman traveling south on Military just before 6 p.m. Monday.

Responding officers tell News 4 people in the area at the time were performing CPR on the man.

There are no charges at this time.

Military Road has reopened.
