LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Niagara County Fair is underway! 35,000 people are expected to visit the Niagara County Fairgrounds in Lockport over the next five days.
Those involved say it’s the perfect atmosphere for families. “This is a really affordable family friendly fair,” said Marketing Director Marc Ducharme. “Everything is in close proximity so if you’re bringing little kids this is the one you want to come to.”
Fair-goers will see a stiff competition between the kids and their animals over the next few days. In fact this is the largest 4-H Youth fair in the state.
Beyond the barns and competitions , there’s an exotic petting zoo with camels, alpaca , goats, a tortoise and birds.
New to the fair this year are two free entertainment acts. The Aquatic Acrobat show that brings the flying trapeze to the water and even uses a jet ski. And the “Teaser the Crowd Pleaser” from the Dynamo Dog show will be sure to capture your heart with his personality and tricks.
Tickets are five dollars per person and the parking is free. On Sunday, it will cost three dollars per person or ten dollars per car. The Niagara County Fair runs Wednesday through Sunday. For more info click here.
