A Niagara Falls convenience store owner has died after being shot during a robbery at the store Wednesday night. 

According to Niagara Falls Police, police responded to the Bridgeway Market convenience store on Niagara Street around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man shot. 

Ahmad “Poppy” Alsaid was transported to ECMC for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Niagara Falls Police are investigating another Wednesday robbery that they say appears to be related. 

Officers responded to the 7-Eleven store at 6802 Buffalo Ave. for a report of an armed robbery. 

Witnesses said that two males with firearms entered the store and stole an undetermined amount of cash from the clerk. 

No injuries were reported.
