Pancho Billa honored by lawmakers in Albany

Local News

Pancho Billa was honored by lawmakers in Albany, where the legislative session is winding down.

A resolution in memory of the well-known mask-wearing Bills fan, who died earlier this month after a several months-long battle with cancer, was passed inside the Capitol.

The resolution acknowledges Ezra Castro’s life and history as a Bills fan. The Texas native chose the Bills because the red, white and blue most closely resembled Mexico’s flag colors of red, white and green, according to state Sen. Tim Kennedy, who said a copy of the resolution will be sent to Castro’s family in El Paso.
