A City of Tonawanda woman was arrested Saturday evening after police say she called 911 and asked the operator how she could kill her boyfriend.
Zelda L. Cotton, 54, of Delaware Street was charged with endangering the welfare of an elderly person and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to City of Tonawanda Police reports, police responded to a William Street residence Saturday night and found Cotton there with the boyfriend.
She told officers that she had struck him “five times with a VCR tape” and was swinging a leaf blwoer battery at him in a threatening maner.
According to police, Cotton was intoxicated at the time.
The boyfriend, 76, was uninjured.
Cotton’s bail was set at $5,000.
