West Seneca Police continue to investigate the deaths of two people found inside a duplex on French Lea Road Tuesday night.

60-year-old Gregory Grimmer and his stepdaughter, 31-year-old Jennifer Villa were found by Grimmer’s wife (Villa’s mother) just after 6:30 p.m.

Both Grimmer and Villa lived at the residence, according to police. Investigators said their bodies were found in the same room.

Officials were not able to say how or when both people died, but confirmed the deaths were not natural.

There were no signs of forced entry into the home, and it is not clear if weapons were located at the scene, said West Seneca Police Lieutenant James Unger.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in their deaths.

Neighbor Brianna Piraino said she often saw Grimmer outside with his granddaughter.

“I would see them outside all the time. Greg would be fixing something in the backyard or cooking on the grill,” she said.

Piraino was home Tuesday night when the bodies were discovered.

“I was sitting in my living room and all I saw was a bunch of cop cars, about 9 cop cars were here,” she told News 4.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there are no suspects or persons of interest. Police are calling this an “isolated incident.”

An autopsy of both Grimmer and Villa was conducted Wednesday morning; results of which are pending.
