The first one has not yet opened, but plans are already in the works for a second Chick-fil-A in Cheektowaga.
On Friday morning, Cheektowaga Town Supervisor Diane Benczkowski announced that the plans had been submitted to the town’s Building Department.
“This is a very exciting announcement for Cheektowaga and the surrounding community,” Benczkowski said. “Cheektowaga is a prime location for businesses looking to expand or move into the Buffalo-Niagara region because of our central location. We are the second largest town in Western New York and every single day we have a large number of people passing through our town. This announcement is yet another example of how attractive our community is for new businesses.”
Last year, it was announced that a Chick-fil-A would be coming to the former Famous Dave’s location at Walden Ave. and Anderson Rd. That restaurant is expected to open later this year following construction.
The second Chick-fil-A is planned for the corner of Losson and Transit roads, in front of the Wegmans plaza.
This would make it so Cheektowaga is the first municipality in the state to have two Chick-fil-A restaurants.
