A Buffalo business is using a polish food favorite to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
A new segment of Chrusciki Bakery called Simply Pierogi is launching a 3-year partnership with Roswell Park to benefit the Courage of Carly.
Members of the organization got to choose the pierogi flavor for the partnership.
The winner surprised the folks at Simply Pierogi.
“They got to try all of the flavors of our pierogis. they rated them on a scale of 1-5. we went in there thinking “they are definitely going to do the sweet ones”. We have a blueberry and cheese and we have a apple cinnamon – they are definitely going to pick that one. but the winner ended up being the potato and fried onion. that is our most popular flavor,” Dominique Emer from Simply Pierogi said.
The pierogi will be sold at a number of regional stores and restaurants.
15% of the money made in the first year of the partnership will be donated to the Courage of Carly fund at Roswell Park.
