SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — On Monday night, the Springville School Board had a special meeting to formally accept the resignation of Griffith Institute High School Principal Vincent Vanderlip.

Vanderlip was placed on indefinite leave in October, shortly after a senior class trip to Pittsburgh in September. He held the position of Principal since 2007.

Vanderlip’s reason for leaving is cited as “personal reasons”, according to school leaders.

John Baronich will act as Interim Principal while the school board searches for a permanent replacement.
