(WIVB) - Western New York is experiencing a critical need for blood donors due to recent traumas and a decrease in blood donations this month, UNYTS says.
UNYTS is the primary supplier of blood products to Kaleida Health, ECMC, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Eastern Niagara Health, Wyoming County Community Health System, Brooks Memorial Hospital and TLC Health Network.
UNYTS is encouraging all eligible blood donors to donate. Those with the blood type "O negative" and platelet donors are especially encouraged to donate.
