JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A hospital in Jamestown is celebrating the end of a multi-million dollar expansion.
UPMC Chautauqua cut the ribbon on its new women and children’s maternity care center Wednesday night.
The 42,000-square foot expansion project also includes new teenage and adult mental health units.
Betsy Wright is the former president of the hospital and worked on developing this project.
She says this gives Jamestown residents a new health care option on the cutting edge of medicine.
“We have great physicians, we have great caregivers, and now we have a state-of-the-art, brand-new facility right here in Jamestown at UPMC Chautauqua,” Wright said.
The project cost $20 million to complete.
