BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Earlier this month, it was announced that U.S. Attorney William Hochul Jr. will be leaving his position representing the western district of New York.

On Monday, News 4 found out that Hochul, who has spent 30 years with the Department of Justice, would be taking a job in the private sector.

Delaware North has hired Hochul as the company’s new general counsel. He will manage the company’s legal function and give advice and counsel to management.

“William Hochul’s outstanding credentials, broad expertise and vast experience in the legal field make him a perfect fit for Delaware North,” said Co-CEO Jerry Jacobs Jr. “This is an incredibly important position for Delaware North, especially given our numerous regulatory and legal compliance requirements, our vast array of licenses and our global operations.”

Hochul will end his career with the Department of Justice on October 28.MORE | Click/tap here for more on Hochul’s resignation and his history with the Department of Justice.
