When you’ve been working around chocolate nearly your entire life, like Howard Cadmus, you tend to know a thing or two about the Valentine’s Day Rush. He and his team here at Sweet Jenny’s in Williamsville say all the orders this time of year certainly keep them on their toes.
Of course they offer the valentines day classics. But Cadmus says his customers come in looking some out of the ordinary options too. “The anatomical heart, the frog prince mold, the pig,” said Cadmus. “Just not everybody wants to give the classic valentines day gift and you want everyone’s experience to be unique.”
They say their Buffalo line of chocolate is the fan favorite. “Molded chocolates that look like Buffalo’s and the chicken wings with the dip! things that are classically buffalo,” said Cadmus. They also offer sugar free, gluten free and vegan options.
And Sweet Jenny’s not only has rich chocolate and ice cream, but also a rich history.
“The 1811 on the outside of this building isn’t the address, it’s the year it was built. So it’s one of the oldest structures in the part of Western New York and the whole village grew up around it,”he said. “We love the building, we love the village, we love Western New York. We love our customers.”
