Vehicle strikes Picasso’s Pizza in West Seneca, two taken to ECMC

A customer was injured Friday when a vehicle struck Picasso’s Pizza on Union Road in West Seneca. 

The customer, a 51-year-old man, suffered back and leg injuries. It’s unknown how serious the injuries are. 

The customer and the 85-year-old driver of the vehicle were both transported to ECMC for further evaluation. 

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. 

West Seneca Police said Friday afternoon that it’s unclear what caused the driver to run into the building. 

The crash caused “significant damage” to the restaurant, which is currently closed until repairs are made.
