VIDEO: Executive director of the International Institute of Buffalo talks about separation at border

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Audio recordings of young children crying after being separated from their parents at the border have gone viral. 

In a viral image, hundreds of unaccompanied minors peer out of metal cages inside of an old warehouse. 

There has been public outcry and criticism about the way the border crisis is being handled. 

Eva Hassett, the executive director of the International Institute of Buffalo, stopped by News 4 on Tuesday to speak about what’s happening at the border.
