VIPER Task Force makes over 130 arrests in first two weeks in Buffalo and Rochester

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A federal team aimed at taking criminals off the streets has made more than 130 arrests in the past couple of weeks.

United States Attorney James Kennedy started the VIPER Task Force to help reduce violent crime in Buffalo and Rochester. Since July 7 law enforcement has made 138 arrests on guns, drugs and other charges.

22 illegal weapons have also been seized.
