Bishop Richard Malone will be holding a conference on Monday afternoon.
The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo says Malone will “address concerns regarding the abuse of minors and adults by members of the clergy alongside other important issues.”
Sources familiar with discussion among Buffalo priests say a dozen priests plan to tell Malone to resign on Monday.
The conference will be held at Infant of Prague Parish in Cheektowaga at 2:30 p.m. It will not be open to the public.
News 4 was handed a packet ahead of the Bishop’s news conference. The packet included a chart that points to an overall decrease in abuse allegations since the 1970s.
News 4 will air the conference live on air and online here.
