WATCH: Helping teens handle mental health in a healthy way

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Throughout the month of May, we’ve been highlighting the importance of mental health awareness.

Many teenagers have faced a unique kind of pressure in the last year with remote learning.

Tuesday morning on Wake Up!, we were joined by BryLin’s Lindsay Herndon. She told us about a new approach by therapists to help kids handle mental health in a healthy way.

This new approach is called Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and you can hear about it in the video player above.
