Woman expected to recover after being rescued from Niagara River

Local News

A woman is expected to be okay after being rescued from the Niagara River earlier today.

Witnesses say they spotted her in the area of Artpark then lost sight.

Lewiston Police say she was picked up by a Niagara Jet Boat operator near the Lewiston sand docks.

She was brought to shore and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Officers found her vehicle at Devil’s Hole, where they believe she got into the water.

Police think this wasn’t an accident and no foul play is suspected.
