World’s oldest working fireboat breaks up ice on Buffalo River

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A piece of Buffalo history was out on the Buffalo River Monday.

The fireboat Edward M. Cotter was breaking up some sheets of ice. Officials say they are staying on top of Tuesday’s expected warm-up.

The Edward M. Cotter is considered the world’s oldest working fireboat.
