The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with larcenies from vehicles in the Woodlands mobile home community in Lockport.

Christopher R. Cunningham, 22, was charged early Wednesday morning with petit larceny and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property and held on $500 bail.

According to sheriff’s reports, the sheriff’s office received a call from a Woodlands resident early Wednesday morning stating that an individual was going through parked vehicles in driveways and taking items.

Sheriff’sd deputies along with New York State Police responded to the area, locating fresh footprints in the snow which appeared to approach dozens of vehicles parked in driveways.

After tracking the suspect for about 40 minutes, deputies and troopers found what appeared to be the end of the tracks at a Fernwood Drive residence.

After being allowed entry to the residence, an individual identified as Cunningham directed law enforcement to items said to be taken by him under a couch.

Anyone who believes they were a victim of the larceny spree is asked to contact the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and file a larceny report.
