Millard Fillmore’s 219th birthday celebrated in Forest Lawn Cemetery


Millard Fillmore- 13th U.S. president and the University of Buffalo’s first chancellor- would have turned 219 on Monday. 

Fillmore’s birthday was celebrated at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where he is buried. 

Monday marked the 54th year in a row that UB has put on the event. 

Organizers say many of the contributions Fillmore made to Buffalo were made after his presidency, including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, multiple museums, and the library.
