Millions given to Homeless Alliance of WNY and the state to help local homeless people


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)–Agencies that help homeless people in western new york are getting a boost.

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development gave $3.5 million to the Homeless Alliance of Western New York and $22 million to the state to help local homeless people.

The money will be used to fund programs that help homeless youth and help create rapid housing, transitional housing, and host homes.
