Mural celebrates journey new Americans have made to get to WNY

News

A brand new mural depicts the journey some of our newer neighbors have made to Buffalo.

Local artists worked with public school students to make this mural a reality.

The mural hangs on the outside of a hardware store on Niagara Street.

“From one home to another” is 44 feet long and 8 feet tall.

It highlights the journey people from other countries have made just to call WNY home.

“What is it like to go from a place that you love, a place that maybe you were forced to leave or maybe you have family somewhere and you just want to go with your family, all these different reasons why we leave, and traveling over oceans, over lakes, over miles and miles to come to Buffalo” said Michele Agosto of the Hispanic Heritage Council.

More than 200 students in Buffalo Public School and their families played a part in creating this mural.
