BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — UPDATE: News 4 has received final totals from today’s Red Cross Telethon.

The Red Cross says 68 blood donation appointments were made by phone, exceeding the goal of 50. They anticipate that number to go up once they get the website report.

$2,080 was donated.

The blood drive in the building today had 36 donations, almost double the average their chapter gets each month. A number of walk-ins who saw the telethon came in to donate as well.
