Volvo recalls 500k cars over risk of engine fires


(WIVB)– Volvo is recalling about 500,000 cars over the risk of engine fires.

The affected cars have two-liter, four-cylinder diesel engines and were made between 2014 and 2019.

Volvo says a part in the engine is made of plastic and could melt when the temperature changes, it caused a car fire in a few cases.

There have been no reports of injuries.
