New York State Police arrest nearly 800 people for impaired driving during holiday DWI crackdown

New York State Police arrested 783 people statewide for impaired driving over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday, state police said Tuesday. 

The national holiday campaign started on Dec. 13 and ended Jan. 1. 

State Police arrested also issued 48,877 tickets and investigated 643 personal injury crashes, including eight fatalities, during that time.
