New Yorkers and tourists stop to watch “Manhattanhenge”

The natural phenomenon known as “Manhattanhenge” returned to the sky Thursday night.

Around 8:20 p.m., New Yorkers and tourists stopped to capture the sunset aligning with Manhattan’s street grid.

The term for the astronomical event was made popular by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

“Manhattanhenge” will happen again on Friday night.
