NY State Fair butter sculpture to be recycled

Around New York State

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WROC) — As the New York State Fair comes to a close, the centerpiece butter sculpture won’t be going to waste.

On Tuesday, the inedible sculpture will be delivered to Noblehurst Farms in Livingston County. They’ll be converting the butter into renewable energy to power the dairy farm there.

It will also be used as liquid fertilizer for local crops.
