NYS Police crackdown on impaired driving over holiday weekend

(WIVB)– New York State Police are cracking down on impaired drivers over the July 4th weekend.
The “Drive sober or get pulled over” campaign started Friday night and goes until Sunday.

Troopers will be conducting sobriety checkpoints statewide and will target reckless drivers.
During last year’s 4th of July weekend, state police issued more than 13-thousand tickets and arrested nearly 250 people for DWI.
