Northern parts of WNY in moderate drought


In northern areas of western New York, lawns are dried up.

Large portions of Niagara, all of Orleans, plus northeast Erie and Genesee counties are experiencing a moderate drought.

It’s because of the lack of rain our area has seen, and the hot temperatures.

During this time, experts suggest limiting personal water use and repairing any leaky faucets.
