Amherst

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Amherst police say a construction worker became pinned between two vehicles after a crash Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Kensington Ave. at Lamarck Dr. in Amherst around 7:50 a.m.

Police say a 19-year-old East Aurora woman was driving north on Lamarck when she collided with another vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Cheektowaga man.

The woman’s vehicle then struck the 56-year-old construction worker, who lives in Niagara Falls.

When this happened, the worker became pinned between her vehicle and a dump truck that was parked in the roadway.

Members of the Snyder Fire Department were able to free him.

The worker suffered a lower leg injury, but it doesn’t appear to be life threatening. He was taken to ECMC.

No one else appears to have been injured.
