Plans for proposed methadone clinic near Dunkirk school scrapped

Plans for a methadone clinic next to Northern Chautauqua Catholic School have been scrapped due to concerns from the school, parents and community members. 

Dunkirk mayor Willy Rosas confirmed Wednesday that he and the school’s principal met with the executive director of Hispanics United, the group that will run the clinic and discussed alternative sites. 

Rosas said the City of Dunkirk will work with Hispanics United to show them better spots.
