Police: Car t-bones school bus on West Side

A car struck a school bus Thursday afternoon on the city’s West Side and the driver fled on foot. 

Buffalo Police say the car t-boned the bus at Breckenridge Street and Herkimer Street around 4:45 p.m. Thursday. The bus had several students on board. 

The driver of the bus had a “non-serious” injury, police said. There were no other injuries. 

About 16 students were transferred onto another bus to go home. 

The car was left at the scene.
