ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man with a history of drunk driving has landed in hot water with Orchard Park police after a Thursday crash.
Police responded to the scene of a car that crashed into a alleyway pole when they say they found Kevin Boyle unharmed, but intoxicated.
The pole that ended Boyle’s drive was in place to protect a number of gas lines and meters.
While investigating the situation, officers say they found an open liquor bottle in Boyle’s vehicle. After testing him, they say his blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
During this time, Boyle was driving with hardship privileges due to a suspended license. The reason his license was suspended was because of a recent suspected DWI arrest that is still pending in Hamburg.
Back in 2003, Boyle had been convicted of DWI.
Now facing a number of charges related to the alleged incident, Boyle posted $200 bail and was released to his family.
