A North Tonawanda woman is facing a slew of charges after police say she drove more than twice the speed limit in a 30 mph zone early Tuesday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m., Courtney Jakubec, 27, was stopped after City of Tonawanda police say she drove 65 mph down Main St. in the city.

According to them, Jakubec failed all field tests and was in possession of marijuana and two pills out of their container.

Jakubec refused a breath test and told police she had been drinking vodka earlier.

After failing to pay fines for a DWI in Newfane in 2016, Jakubec’s license had been suspended.

She was accused of DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and four traffic charges.

Following her arrest, Jakubec was held for court.
