Union workers from across Western New York rallied in support of employees of New Era’s Derby factory on Saturday morning.
The rally was held outside the Bills store at New Era Field to protest closing of the production plant in Derby.
New Era announced the closure in November of 2018.
Organizers said that they are standing with the workers who are at risk of losing their jobs.
“The messages we want to send to the workers is put people over profits,” said Joe Cantafio, Executive Vice President of WNY Labor Federation.
The facility is set to close in March.
There are more than 200 people working at the plant.
