NEW YORK (WIVB) — Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort will continue his federal prison sentence at Rikers Island, according to a new report by The New York Times.
The report states that Manafort is expected to be transferred “as early as this week.”
Rikers Island, a well-known prison, is located in New York City.
The report by The New York TImes states Manafort will “most likely be held in solitary confinement while facing state fraud charges.”
The 70-year-old was sentenced to 47 months in prison for committing bank and tax fraud involving his work advising Ukrainian politicians.
