BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently looking into the Buffalo Police Department’s Intelligence Unit, and sources say Buffalo Police Internal Affairs is working hand in hand with federal investigators.

Buffalo Police officials have reportedly turned over a number of computers and undisclosed items to aid in the investigation. If the FBI and Internal Affairs probe uncovers any wrongdoing, sources say the Buffalo Police Department will take appropriate action to correct the wrongdoing.

The Intelligence Unit works on a daily basis to investigate gangs, shootings and develop leads to share with other agencies.
