The New York State Assembly has passed a resolution in the state budget to give both Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul pay raises.
The State Senate passed the same measure.
The passage of this resolution would bring Cuomo’s salary up to $200,000 from $179,000. Hochul’s will go to $190,000.
With this, Cuomo’s budget would go up to $225,000 in 2020 and $250,000 in 2021.
The last time a salary increase took effect for either office was 1999.
