PENFIELD, NY (WROC) – A Penfield High School teacher is accused of giving alcohol to a student last year.

Forty-six-year-old Eric J. Brewer was arrested Tuesday for the incident troopers say happened last September.

Troopers say they were investigating the relationship between Brewer and the then 17-year-old student when they found Brewer had provided alcohol to the teen at Brewer’s Perinton home.

We’re told the student has since graduated from Penfield.

Brewer is charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, troopers say. Anyone with any additional information is asked to call state police at 585-279-0144.
