NEW YORK (WIVB) -
Marc Molinaro and Gov. Andrew Cuomo will take part in a debate on Tuesday night.
Molinaro, a Republican and current Dutchess County executive, is challenging Cuomo in the election for Governor of New York.
In recent weeks, it was unclear whether a debate was going to take place.
Currently, the incumbent is far ahead of his challenger in polls of likely voters.
Also running for election are Larry Sharpe (Libertarian), Howie Hawkins (Green Party) and former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner (Independent), but they will not be featured in the debate.
Molinaro has expressed that he wants at least two other debates to take place, but in upstate New York.
The one-on-one debate will be taped at WCBS in New York City, and will air on WIVB from 7-8 p.m.
Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will air at the normal times on CW23.
