BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police issued 1,390 tickets during their STOP-DWI campaign last Sunday, during the big game. Troopers increased patrols between noon and midnight.
Troopers conducted sobriety checkpoints, and targeted speeding and aggressive drivers. Patrols netted 31 drunk driving arrests, and issued 408 speeding tickets, 39 distracted driving tickets, 44 seat belt tickets and 15 move over law tickets.
Police did not release information on where the arrests took place.
