Students at St. Mary’s Elementary School have a “reverse parade” to say hello to their teachers

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – Teachers with St. Mary’s Elementary School had a chance to say hello to their students before summer break.

Instead of the teachers driving by students in their homes, the students came to the teachers at the school’s parking lot. Staff cheered and held signs of affection and encouragement as students drove by.

Organizers said it was a safe, socially distant way to lift spirits before summer break.
