Teachers, board to vote on labor deal Monday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Unionized Buffalo teachers could be working under terms of a contract soon, for the first time in 12 years.

Sunday night, the Buffalo Teachers Federation and city school district reached a tentative agreement on a labor deal.

School superintendent, Kriner Cash, took part in negotiations, which the union credits with helping to reach an agreement.

Terms have not been revealed, but we expect to learn those when the board of education meets late Monday afternoon to vote on it.

If it’s approved, the agreement goes to the BTF for ratification.
