Officials: Lightning strike injures 12 people in South Carolina

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD/WBTW) – The National Weather Service is reporting that a lightning strike at the Lawshee Plantation struck several people.

The lightning strike injured twelve people with four unresponsive, according to the National Weather Service.

Sam Hodge, with the Georgetown County Emergency Management, confirmed to News13 that people have been struck by lightning near the Lawshee Plantation and are being taken to the hospital.
