Two-year-old was sitting on case of beer as booster seat, say Canadian police

NORTH PERTH, Ontario – Ontario Provincial Police about 100 miles west of Toronto used a traffic stop as a reminder that in Canada, all children under eight years old must ride in a booster seat.

A 22-year-old driver was issued a citation for not securing a child properly in the car after a two-year-old was found riding on a case of beer instead of a booster seat.

The toddler was not hurt, but police say children that small must ride in a protective seat.
