Unique pop-up space hosts chocolate shop during a demanding time: Valentine’s Day

A sweet shop in Western New York opened up a second location to keep up with demand this Valentine’s Day. Park Edge Sweet Shoppe has a permanent location in South Buffalo, on Abbott Road. But at the end of January, they opened up in a smaller, temporary spot in Hamburg.

It’s located at 50 Buffalo Street, near the corner of Union Street. It’s right next-door to Alchemy Wine and Beer, which owns the space. Alchemy wants to support small businesses by hosting unique artisans, vendors and retailers in the space, for one month at a time.

Park Edge said it’s nice to see some new faces in the Southtowns, and also keep up with the high demand this holiday.

“We’re just happy to be apart of people’s traditions for Valentine’s and bring a little love to people,” Noel Ormond said, a chocolatier at Park Edge Sweet Shoppe.

Ormond said their most popular chocolates are their sponge candy, but their truffles are big sellers around Valentine’s Day too. They have everything from chocolate-covered pretzels, to chocolate wine sets.

Park Edge will be out of the space tomorrow. But an owner of the chocolate shop told News 4 they plan to be back in the pop-up shop in April, around Easter.
