Crews are working to restore power to part of Hartland after a vehicle struck a utility pole at the corner of Ridge and Hosmer roads.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

According to them, the driver appeared to have a medical issue, which caused to them to drive into a yard and then the pole. The pole was severed.

The driver was then taken to ECMC for non-life threatening injuries.

A stretch of Ridge Rd. was briefly closed down, but later reopened as crews worked to restore power in the immediate area.
