Volunteers make signs ahead of women’s march in Buffalo

Women is western New York will be marching in support of their rights this weekend.

A group of volunteers made signs Thursday night ahead of the women’s march in downtown Buffalo.

The march will be part of the fight for women’s equality in western New York around the world.

“As the years go on, we recognize the work that needs to be done on a global level, on a national level and on a local level, and also what we need to do within the movement to make sure the movement continues to have the power until we get equality for women,” WNY Peace Center Assistant Director Silver Light said.

This year’s women’s march will be Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Niagara Square.
